Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool asks for gender, date of birth, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length. Those six answers give the carriers what they need to return rates. Your name, address, phone and health history are only collected if you choose to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They show what each carrier quotes for the health class you selected. The final price is set by the carrier after underwriting, which may confirm, improve or change your class. Nothing here is an offer of insurance or a guarantee of any particular premium.
What happens when I click Apply?
You enter your name and the application is created from the exact quote you chose, then continues on the carriers' secure platform. You can pause and resume, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles your application.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, the amount and your answers. Some carriers now decide quickly for eligible applicants without an exam; each quote shows whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed.
Is a longer term better?
A term should match the years when someone would struggle if your income were gone: your mortgage, time raising children, a business loan. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in your rate for longer. The tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not collect contact details, we do not sell or share your data, and our measurement does not use cookies. See the privacy page for exactly what is collected and by whom.
